Love for books

A book tag- I was tagged by smyta I was never a reader till college. Mum used to fight world wars to get me read Hindu (Mum for this I can never thank u enough). 1982-1995(…)

Mostly I remember reading Hindu and solving crosswords (of the rest, my memory is vague) .

1995-1999(9,10th,11,12)

  2. The count of Monte Cristo-Alexander Dumas (Till date among the fav books I read when I was at school)
  3. A tale of two cities-Chalres Dickens (Kids edition.still haven’t read the original version)
  4. Oliver Twist-Charles Dickens (+2 supplement in English )
  5. Pickwick papers- Dickens
  6. War of the Worlds – H.G.Wells (This one is too gud. I guess Tom cruise will soon be protagonist for this novel)

  • Cujo – Stephen king (Didn’t find it interesting. Idea of a hungry dog threatening to eat a handcuffed person didn’t excite me)

  • Following r the ones of which I am happy that I read them. Both JRR and Asimov rank as my fav writers in this list.

    There was one more book involving some stock market bull shi*. Don’t seem to remember the name.

    Total Number of Books I own: Must be around 40. Coz most of the books I bought were at central Railway station(Chennai) and used to discard the worthless stuff for some other book.

    Total number of books given to others and never came back : Not many actually. Coz I am the one who borrows :)

    Total number of books fliched from others : not filched but borrowed and too damn lazy to return. About 5. (atleast 1 I remember from KK “are u afraid of the dark?“)

    Last Book I bought: Eaters of the dead –Micheal chricton

    A book that I am most eagerly awaiting to read: Nothing. It just happens tat I choose anything randomly. May b if Archer writes something interesting, I will think abt it.

    Last Book I was gifted: None. If i consider “are u afraid of dark?” as a gift from kk then tats the one. Else none. Most of my friends don’t read books or even if they do, don’t gift :D

      Now, that was a tall list.

      Anyways, haven't you read "Catcher In The Rye"? You should read that. One helluva book.

      And yes, LOTR is the best book you could ever read.
