The weekend that wazzzzzz
Destination: Columbus,OHIO!
Friday, The Black Friday. Time 12.00am
COMPUSA
Actually it wasnt even friday, we were waiting in the queue for about 10.30pm at the gates of COMPUSA on thursday night! It was freezing cold, with abt 2 inches of snow, we were joining the already lengthening queue. I seriously didnt think that it was worth so much to stand outside on line just to buy some gadgets on which u can save some 20 bucks most. But i guess it was a kind of a same exhilarating experience like watching Rajini movies on the same day of release! But we were in good compnay as ppl from Ohio state univ and even an university international student officer was also there in Q chatting away. Well and finally by the time we entered the mall, My feet were frozen and shaking violently! Anyways managed to pick up loads of stuff and filled up boxes of gizmos, only to realise in the end that they were not the same model on which the discounts were offered!
Lesson Number 1: Never plan ahead, just pick watever that comes in ur hand and hope that u get a rebate!
WALL MART Yes, i found her! Finally I managed to get what i had always wanted.Kodak z760 Digicamera. Is this a cool baby or wat? with 6.1 mega pixel and 4x digital and 3x optical, its not the best of cams, but surely the best i could afford! The pics thru the cam r exhilarating to say the least. Bliss!
Lesson Number 2: If u shop long enough, u will eventually find something which u might buy!
And thereafter, Me and my cousin rushed to circuitcity, officemax, sams and purchased loads of computer accessories for his consultancy! all in all it was a shoppin effort worth 12.30hrs. Well we thought we have given all gals a run for their money from our shoppin effort, But our joy was shortlived. When he got home we realized that my cousin's wife had an even longer shoppin spree! I finally realized its time for lesson 3
Lesson Number 3: JUST CANT BEAT WOMEN when it comes to SHOPPIN
Saturday/sunday: Cincinaati, Is a place that looks almost straight out of the LOTR book. Sorrounded by mountains and a calm river running right thru the city and snow falling ever so slowly, It was like being on a fairy-tale land. Easily the best place i have seen in US so far!
All Indians who r reading this can take heart that the bus which i used for travelling, GREYHOUND Sukzzz! In comparision all the KPN or sharma travels r much better off!
